Account Setup Process & Email Address Picanahost.com will setup your account after payment has been received and we, or our payment partners screen the order to insure payment is legit and not fraud. It is the clients responsibility to setup a account with a correct email such as @gmail.com, @yahoo.com, @hotmail.com or any other email except the accounts domain you are signing up for. If there are any abuse issues or we need to contact you, your email address is the best way for Picanahost.com to contact you. Providing false contact information of any kind in our registration process may/will result in account termination.
Unacceptable Content There are certain types of content that we do not allow on our servers; Shared hosting clients, reseller clients, and VPS clients must follow these conditions. Failure to follow our rules of conduct can result in account suspension or termination without refund. - Pirated Software, Warez, Underage Pornography, Proxy Scripts, Mail-Bombers, Spam Scripts
- VPS Clients may not launch Open-relay mail servers
File Transferring Our team of "geeks" will make every effort to transfer your site files from your old host to ours. Transfers are provided as a courtesy for transferring to Picanahost and we can't insure or make any guarantees that your transfer will be successful. Other hosting companies are configured in many different ways and run on various platforms, which make it difficult if not impossible to transfer certain account data. All we can do is try our best, at times if your old host is incompatible with ours we may not be able to provide a transfer. We do not limit a certain amount of files for a transfer, instead every client has a chance to request a free file transfer within 30 days of their account creation. After 30 days the option is invalid and does not apply. Privacy and Security- Picanahost will not monitor or disclose any clients private email messages under any circumstances unless required by court order or law. Privacy is key and we insure to keep our end of the deal.
- Picanahost will take every action in order to protect our clients, we will never sell or disclose personal client information such as email accounts or email lists. We attempt to protect the privacy of our clients in order to keep a healthy relationship with our client.
- Account information is stored on our network servers which are secured and encrypted; once the account has been setup. Credit card information, billing information under no circumstances leaves our servers until the client decides to part ways with Picanahost, thereafter we remove our clients profile as well as any information under it in a safe and secure manner.
Backups It is the customers job to create a backup of their content on their website, in the event of a upgrade of our network we may request the client to perform a full backup of their content. - Client may request Picanahost to backup their content, we do not make any guarantees of any data loss prevention.
- Please do not rely on Picanahost for a prime fileserver, store your files on a PC which is local to you.
Additional Policies - Picanahost will not be held liable beyond one month's cost of service for any service outages. Although we do work with the client to provide some sort of benefit of their loss.
- The Customer is responsible for providing correct information and up-to-date billing information. Filing false data on our sign-up form, contract also including fradulent use of credit card numbers is grounds for us to terminate your account.
- Picanahost reserves the right to discontinue service without any advance notice.
- Picanahost reserves the right to discontinue service without refund to any account on any service that hosts illegal, copyrighted or TOS violating content.
- VPS Clients are suggested to 2 OS reinstalls per day to prevent abuse (2 times per day, 14 times per week, 60 times a month) The purpose for this limitation is to keep a reliable io response time to all customers.
- We reserve the right to disable any account on our servers which seem abusive, liable, or even threatening to our network, company reputation, or service resources.
- Any type of email marketing, opt in mailings, or other mass emailing systems are prohibited on the shared/reseller hosting packages. Non-spam mass mailing is fine on all other hosting service types.
Refunds We offer a 30 day money back gaurantee to all our clients, because we are confident that our services can provide scalability and reliability to our clients. If under some odd reason you wish to cancel your service, it is the customers job to file a support ticket stating a refund.
